Motlow has more than 75 academic programs in nine departments. We offer hundreds of classes in a variety of times, locations, and formats. We also offer opportunities to serve our community, international study, and work-based learning in addition to traditional degree and certificate programs.

Academic Programs & Career Paths

TN PROMISE

Tennessee Promise is a scholarship and a mentoring program providing the opportunity for Tennessee high school, home school, and GED graduates to attend Motlow free of tuition and fees.


You are required to complete eight hours of community service prior to each semester you enroll in order to maintain eligibility, as well as maintain satisfactory academic progress (2.0 GPA) while enrolled. Each Promise student receives individual guidance from their assigned mentor.

HONORS

The Honors Program provides an interdisciplinary education of exceptional quality to high academic achievers.


The Honors Program will challenge you academically, support you through your academic journey, and strengthen your transfer application. If you’re a highly motivated student at Motlow and plan on transferring to a four-year institution, consider the Honors Program to put you on the path to success.

TN RECONNECT

Tennessee Reconnect provides adults (24+) without a college degree the opportunity to go to Motlow State tuition-free.


Tennessee Reconnect is available to adult residents of Tennessee who have not completed an associate or bachelor’s degree. You must be classified as an independent student, have completed the FAFSA and the Reconnect application, and have been admitted to Motlow and enrolled in at least six (6) hours of credit leading to the completion of a degree program.

VETERANS & MILITARY

You and your family have protected our freedom. Now Motlow is here to assist you in completing your educational goals.


Motlow's Veterans Affairs office helps assist veterans and eligible disabled veteran's dependents in requesting educational assistance from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

TRANSFER TO OTHER COLLEGES

Tennessee Transfer Pathways and 2+2 programs make it easier than ever to transfer credits from Motlow to four-year universities.


Motlow has articulation agreements with many partners, including MTSU, TTU, and TSU. You can even earn a bachelor's degree while taking all your classes on a Motlow campus.
