CLEP Exams Are Now Available Through Remote Proctoring
At-home CLEP exams with remote proctoring are now available. Remote proctoring allows
students to take an exam online in their home environment while a human proctor monitors
them via video. At-home exams will be administered by Proctortrack, CLEP’s remote proctoring partner that specializes in verifying the identity of online
test-takers while detecting and deterring academic misconduct. Proctortrack will serve
as the sole provider of remote-proctored CLEP exams to ensure consistency in registration,
scheduling, and administration in a secure online environment.
At-Home CLEP Exam Requirements
To be eligible for remote proctoring, students must be:
- 13 years old or older and located in the U.S.
*Please note DANTES-funded candidates can register now for remote-proctored exams
but won’t be able to schedule their at-home exam appointment until mid-May. If a DANTES-funded
test taker needs to take their exam before mid-May, we recommend they schedule their
exam with a CLEP test center.

The test taker must also be alone in a private room. View the detailed list of requirements.
How to Sign Up
Students can take any of the 34 CLEP exams at home. At-home exams will contain the
same questions, format, and timing as exams taken at a CLEP test center.
To register, log in to the CLEP My Account Registration Portal and follow the steps

can select at home with remote proctoring as your preferred test center and you will
be charged a remote proctoring fee at checkout along with the CLEP exam fee.
If you need testing accommodations for your at-home exam, you must first receive approval
from College Board to complete the exam registration. To submit a request for testing
accommodations, students must complete the Student Eligibility Form.
After registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email from CLEP with
instructions on how to create an account and schedule your at-home exam appointment

Preparation and Study Materials
A CLEP examination may be repeated three months or more after the original test. Scores
on tests repeated earlier than three months will be canceled and test fees forfeited.
The waiting period provides test-takers an opportunity to spend additional time preparing
for the exam or the option of taking a classroom course.
You will receive an unofficial score report immediately upon completion of your CLEP
exam. However, the College Composition Modular with Essay for Motlow credit will be
scored by the college's faculty. It may take 2-3 weeks after the test date for scoring.
Test-takers will receive a letter by mail regarding test results. A score recipient
(college or university) that is selected through the software on the day of the exam
will receive one report free of charge after the test. If you do not select a score
recipient, you will have to pay a $20 transcript fee for the service at a later date.
Please visit the College Board Website for more information. Additional CLEP transcripts
can be obtained for a $20.00 fee by contacting College Board/CLEP directly.
If you designate Motlow as the recipient of your official CLEP transcript, it will
take approximately 4-6 weeks from the date of request through College Board/CLEP for
the Motlow Admissions' Office to receive and process your scores. Please contact the
Motlow Admissions' Office directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or 931-393-1520. if you
need to check on receipt of an official CLEP transcript. The following is a list of
the CLEP subject examinations. Opposite the examinations are accepted score, credit
granted by Community Colleges and equivalent TBR course, using TBR Common Core Course
Numbers. *If you are taking the College Composition Modular CLEP for Motlow credit,
a separate essay is required. The essay is subject to review and approval by the Motlow
English faculty. *Fee for optional essays - $10.
