Pathway for an Accelerated College Experience (PACE)

Fast-Track Degree Completion for Busy Adults

This pathway is a cohort-based program for working students. Cohort refers to students who begin the program together and progress together, supporting each other throughout the path toward earning a degree in the following:

  • Associate of Science with a concentration in General Studies
  • Associate of Science with a concentration in Accounting
  • Associate of Science with a concentration in Business Administration
  • Associate of Science with a concentration in Economics
  • Associate of Science with a concentration in Finance
  • Associate of Science with a concentration in Management
  • Associate of Science with a concentration in Marketing

These classes meet online for 7 ½ weeks each, allowing students to take two courses at a time to complete four courses per term. Degree completion is possible in 6 semesters, including 10-week summer classes for Math courses. The associate of science degree is designed for transfer to a four-year university. Enrollment in these class sections will be limited. Do not wait to submit your application and inquire. 

Please note, students must have Reading and Writing Learning Support courses completed before being accepted into the PACE cohort.

Apply for the Pathway for an Accelerated College Experience (PACE)

Current Motlow Student

If you are a current Motlow student who would like to participate PACE, please complete the following steps:

  1. Log In to your MyMotlow account
  2.  Click the Student tab, Select Scholarship and Program Applications, then click PACE Application.
  3. Complete the PACE Application

After completing the PACE application, a coordinator will reach out to schedule a short admittance interview. If approved, applicants will receive notification via their Motlow student email concerning their ability to register with instructions about how to choose courses in the Pathway.

Future Motlow Student

If you are not a current Motlow student and would like to participate in the PACE pathway, please complete the following steps:

  1. Apply to Motlow for the term you plan to start
  2. Complete all Admission Requirements
    • Provide Final High School or GED/HiSet Transcripts
    • Provide ALL college transcripts
    • Provide proof of Citizenship: TN Driver's License (unless otherwise specified)
    • Complete Immunization Waiver

Once you have received your Acceptance Letter from the Admissions Office, you will be able to complete the steps mentioned above to complete the PACE Application.

Our data shows that Motlow cohort students are more likely to achieve their goals than non-cohort-based students. A cohort encourages the development of study groups to help reinforce learning. Motlow’s PACE pathway is intended for highly motivated, independent learners.

  • Students who have been separated from all collegiate institutions for at least four years (8 semesters) may be eligible to have previous failing grades removed from their GPA. This must be done BEFORE the end of the first returning semester. See the current catalog for more details or email admissions@mscc.edu
