The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) recently announced its annual Regents' Award for Excellence in Philanthropy and Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Philanthropy.
Nominated by Motlow State Community College, the Town of Smyrna was named as one of four Regent's Award winners; and Dr. Sam H. Ingram, Motlow's first president, was named among the 13 Chancellor's Award winners.
The Carole Garrison Memorial Nursing Scholarship has been established at Motlow State Community College by her family and friends to honor Carole's dedication and service in the nursing field. Garrison was a 1981 graduate of Motlow's nursing program.

Motlow State established itself as a statewide leader in Mechatronics over a decade ago. Through partnerships with area universities and Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT), Motlow has established multiple pathways that lead to high-paying jobs in Mechatronics.
