Motlow Animal Science graduates can complete a bachelor’s degree on our Fayetteville campus.

Animal Science is the science and business of producing domestic livestock, including but not limited to beef and dairy cattle, horses, poultry, sheep, and swine. An animal scientist applies principles of the biological, physical, and social sciences to the problems associated with livestock production and management. This set of courses is a Tennessee Transfer Pathways (TTP). TTPs enable you to complete your degree at Motlow and transfer to any Tennessee public university, and several Tennessee private universities, to complete your bachelor’s degree.

Motlow offers the Agriculture Animal Science concentration at the College’s Fayetteville campus as part of the Agriculture Science 2+2 with Tennessee State University (TSU). You have the option to complete their bachelor’s degree with TSU at Motlow’s Fayetteville campus.

If you are interested in efficient production of food animals, processing and consumption of high-quality meats and dairy products, use of companion animals for recreation or leisure purposes, or the maintenance of animal health and well-being, then a career in the animal science field may be your key to a rewarding future.

Motlow’s A.S. degree in Agriculture-Animal Science qualifies you for transfer to any one of Tennessee’s four-year-college or university programs. Completion of a four-year baccalaureate program prepares you for further study toward a master’s degree or higher in Agriculture-Animal Science.

Students who hold a higher degree and acquire necessary licensing could anticipate a career in any one of the following areas
