Consider this pathway when planning to transfer to a four-year university through the Tennessee Transfer Pathway. Accounting is a great choice for students interested in pursuing a degree in accounting or an accounting-related field.
Students who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field in Accounting are typically designated “pre-business” or “basic business” when they enter the four-year college or university until they have met the following requirements and have been fully admitted.

The Associate of Applied Science in Business, Accounting Concentration, prepares you for employment in the workforce after completing the two-year A.A.S. Advanced accounting courses prepare you for the workplace.
The Associate of Applied Science in Business, Accounting Concentration is designed to prepare students for employment in public, private, and governmental accounting as a paraprofessional. The instruction covers financial, managerial, and tax accounting using manual and computerized accounting systems.
