Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Agreements

Fermentation Science TTP

Students earn their Associate of Science degree in Fermentation Science at Motlow, then utilize the TTP to transfer to MTSU.

Required General Education Courses at Motlow:

All Fermentation Science majors who are required to take Learning Support must also complete MSCC 1300 First Year Experience, and the degree program will require additional credit hours.

Dual Admission

Motlow students who fulfill the requirements for the Dual Admissions Program are guaranteed acceptance to MTSU. Students must complete an application for dual admission and a non-binding intent to participate form. Students must also complete their A.S., A.A., or A.S.T. degree from Motlow.

Motlow and MTSU will assign each student an advisor from each campus.

Eligibility

A student must meet the following conditions:

  • Plan to pursue an associate and bachelor’s degree
  • Meet current admission requirements for Motlow
  • Earned 29 or fewer college-level semester hours and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

Any courses required for the major not completed at Motlow must be completed at MTSU to progress into the major. Students who attend another institution between the time they graduate from Motlow and enroll at MTSU must re-apply as a transfer student. Students must re-apply to the dual admission program if there is a break of more than one year in attendance at Motlow.

  • Register during the priority registration time period at MTSU the semester of graduation from Motlow

2+2 Articulation/Transfer Agreement: BS Interdisciplinary Studies K-6

This agreement is specifically for students from Motlow’s Smyrna campus pursuing an Associate of Science in Teaching (A.S.T.). Approximately 60 Credit Hours will transfer to MTSU’s bachelor of science in Interdisciplinary Studies K-6.

BS Concrete Industry Management with Concrete Contracting concentration or Production, Sales and Service Concentration 

Students who complete their Associate of Science (A.S.) in General Studies at Motlow can transfer to MTSU to complete a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in either Concrete Industry Management: Concrete Contracting concentration, or Concrete Industry Management: Production, Sales and Service concentration.

MTSU will not accept credit hours toward this program of study until the student has completed the associate degree at Motlow.

BS Agribusiness

Motlow offers lower-division agricultural classes available through MTSU faculty at Motlow campuses for Motlow students to use as credit towards their Associate of Science (A.S.) in General Studies and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Agribusiness from MTSU.
