The Motlow College Foundation is proud to announce the overwhelming success of the 2025 Emerald City Gala, which raised an incredible $140,000 to support student scholarships and emergency assistance. This record-breaking achievement makes it the most successful Gala in the Foundation’s history, directly benefiting Motlow students by helping them stay on track to achieve their academic and career goals.

Held at the Manchester Coffee County Conference Center, this year’s Gala saw unprecedented community engagement, with 41 new businesses contributing to the silent auction—expanding participation like never before. Attendees enjoyed an evening of philanthropy, entertainment, and community spirit, all in support of education. In addition to the overall funds raised, more than $15,000 was dedicated specifically to the Student Emergency Fund, ensuring that students facing unexpected financial hardships have access to critical resources when they need them most.
“The generosity of our sponsors, donors, and attendees demonstrates the incredible commitment our community has to higher education,” said Tisha Fritz, Director of the Motlow College Foundation. “These funds will make a lasting impact, providing students with scholarships, covering essential expenses, and offering emergency assistance to those facing barriers to completion.”

The Emerald City Gala is the Foundation’s signature annual fundraising event, helping to remove financial barriers that prevent students from completing their education. Proceeds from the event go toward last-dollar tuition assistance, books, fees, childcare, and other essential expenses that can stand in the way of student success.
