Members of the community are encouraged to come support the players, especially the graduating sophomores, during this exciting time. This year’s sophomores include:

  • Camden Prosser, Smyrna
  • Alina Arneth, Germany
  • Reagan Miller, Knoxville
  • Haley Campbell, Winchester
  • Adriana Escamilla, Tullahoma
  • Erin Worthington, Winchester
  • Bella Bravo, Winchester
  • Tate Edgemon, Knoxville
  • Emma Whitefield, Lebanon
  • Libby Vincent, Winchester

According to Head Coach Andy Lyon, “These sophomores have been exceptional representatives of the program and the college itself. I am extremely proud of them, and I know they will all go on to be successful after Motlow. I want to thank them for all they have given the soccer program and the school for the past two years. We will miss them tremendously and wish them all the best for the future.”

The outcome on the 22nd will determine the team’s eligibility to play a higher seed game on the 25th. If the team wins both games, they will play a District Championship at the Moore County campus on October 29th.

Every year, the team selects a charity to support that provides mental health resources. Those who are unable to attend the games but would like to offer their support can visit the online store at busybeegraphix.com/collections/motlowsoccer to purchase shirts, cups, and other items to help the team in their mission to improve mental health.

Coach Lyon added, “I am not only proud of them for all they have given on the field but more importantly what they are doing off the field. This year, our players have worked tirelessly to promote the mental health campaign and have set up numerous positivity boards across campus for people to leave notes of support. They have also set up an online store where people can purchase items. The money will be donated to a mental health cause of their choosing. I am incredibly proud of their hard work to help advocate for such an important cause. We are excited to be going into post season, and our players have put themselves in a great position to succeed. I am always excited to watch them compete, and I look forward to seeing them showcase their abilities again in the conference tournament. We would love some on-campus support and invite everyone to come out and watch this talented team play!”
