Human Resources

Human Resources offers assistance in the areas of benefits administration, employee education programs, and applicant information. We guide employees on health and wellness, employee and family resources, compensation, classification, and other employment resources.

Motlow State Community College also seeks to attract and retain highly qualified employees who will serve the College's interests. We believe each member of the faculty and staff plays a vital role in our students' success.

NOTICE: IRS FORM 1095-C AVAILABILITY

A new law signed on December 23, 2024, changes how employers distribute IRS Form 1095-C. To streamline the process, there is no longer a requirement to send the form to every employee, instead employers are asked to post a notice informing employees they can request a 1095-C form if desired. This is that notice.

What is Form 1095-C?

Form 1095-C provides details about the health coverage offered to you by your employer. If you are a full-time employee at a large employer (50+ employees), you may be eligible to receive this form. The form is used to help determine eligibility for the premium tax credit for health insurance purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace, when applicable. Form 1095-C is not attached to your tax return but rather should be kept with your tax records.

Summary

Instead of automatically mailing Form 1095-C to every employee, Motlow State will now provide it upon request. These forms will still be available electronically through the My Motlow Employee tab under tax forms for employees that authorized electronic receipt of W-2 forms.

Request Process:

Request a copy of Form 1095-C by emailing humanresources@mscc.edu. Your request should include your name, A number, phone number or email address and mailing address.

Your request will be fulfilled within 30 days of the request, availability of the forms, or by January 31 of the year following the applicable calendar year, whichever is later.

If you have any questions please contact EDHR Brian Rowe at 931 393-1544 or browe@mscc.edu
